SMOCUBIST Series (2022 to Present).
Description: This series is designed with a combination of smoke media, photography, and ‘digital-Cubist’ design elements.

My main Inspirations & Influences for the SMOCUBIST Series are two of the 20th Century Master Painters:
1) “José Victoriano González-Pérez (23 March 1887 – 11 May 1927), better known as Juan Gris…was a Spanish painter born in Madrid who lived and worked in France for most of his active period. Closely connected to the innovative artistic genre Cubism.” (Source: Wikipedia)
2) Wassily Kandinsky (16 December [new style—Gregorian date] 1866 – 13 December 1944), for his geometric design elements and his beautiful and subtle color structures; for example, his wonderful work, “Yellow-Red-Blue” (1925), is an example of Kandinsky craftsmanship that I am particularly inspired by for my SMOCUBIST Series (2022 to Present).

As for the titles, all of these abstract artworks are the letters of the English Alphabet, or phrases that construct and imitate the sound of each particular Alphabet. The titles do not have anything to do with what I see in each artwork. I have been fascinated with Rorschach designs for many years. I use various natural elements to make my mirrored, ambidextrous art, including smoke (mostly), fire, and light. As for the titles of the works, after designing nearly 3,500 abstract artworks, it is difficult to invent titles. Thus, because I have never done an Alphabet-named series, this is it: The ALPHABET SMOKE-ART series.
